Master of Social Work(MSW)
Social Work as a Professional education had its rooting into late 18th Century in West & Europe, coming to India in mid 19th Century it spread Into Indian system through Tata Institute of Social Sciences and getting offered in almost all 900 above universities in India.
Professor.S.K.Khinduka in her treatise "Social Work in India" clearly said that "today's Social experiences are our tomorrow's Psyche". Thus the term *Social Work* subject stands as an amalgamation of range of subjects such as: Sociology, Psychology, Law, Economy, Polity, Culture, Civics, Rural & Urban Development, Health & family' Welfare, Counseling, Youth, Women, Child and welfare of aged and Industrial workers- HR Services and Community based sanitation, Environment issues, Social Policy & Development, Spirituality &Yoga issues, Social and Community Medicine, working with crisis Epidemics & Pandemics and Globalisation issue and contemporary Social & Social Work/Social Research dimensions,In simple terms there is no other World Wide recognised Social Welfare subject on par with Social Work on this planet Earth. It's role is giving to touch the sky I'm view of current Crisis pandemics and the need to augment Large Scale SICIAL involvement endeavours, where SOCIAL WORK subject offers In the form of MSW
Master of Social Work course started it's journey since 2008 being affiliated to University of Mysore.

Facilities available
- The Class rooms are well equipped with projectors and LCD screens to facilitate effective teaching through powerpoint presentations, and student presentations by conducting class room seminars.
- To facilitate teaching through latest ICT tools the college also has advanced Smart rooms with ample seating facility for students not only for imparting curriculum but also to conduct various Academic and Non Academic programs such as Guest Lectures, Seminars, Quiz, Workshops, Personality Development programs, placement training etc.
- A well quipped computer lab is also available to conduct career oriented training programs such as Tally, Excel, powerpoint which is a crucial requirement in the industry for the students of B.Sc
- Provisions for separate waiting room for Girls and for the sick students are made.
- A Seminar Hall with a seating capacity of 150 is available to conduct various Academic and Non Academic Programs from the Department.
- Public Address system to provide any updates and make any announcements also is available in the campus.
